    WIN – Knowledge Management in Information Networks

    The research project WIN (Knowledge Management in Information Networks) aims at introducing and establishing Knowledge Management within knowledge intense work processes. For this purpose a reference model of Knowledge Management is designed in order to be applied in one of the sector units of a major German industry association ( VDMA, Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagebauer) and one of its member companies (Rauch Agricultural Machines ). This model shall be applicable to other sectors as well as other members of VDMA. Major steps of the requirements analysis have been carried out by the Department of Economy / New Media of the University of Siegen in cooperation with the IQM-Europe GmbH (Institute for Qualification and Learning Media.The Project lasts three years (ending in 2006). WIN is one of five winners of the technology contest “WissensMedia – Knowledge Management in medium size Enterprises and public administration” (www.wissensmedia.de) that has been announced by the ministry of economy and labour (BMWA).
