Vitae

He is research associate and PhD Student at the University of Siegen. His current research is about usage behavior of Elderly and designing ICT based Solutions in the field of Active and healthy aging, cognitive and physical frailty, age related diseases and especially in the field of dementia. After a 3 years’ apprenticeship in professional nursing he graduated in the field of business and public economics. He is currently involved in several health related scientific Projects, i.e. MobiAssist, My-AHA, Cognitive Village. The project MobiAssist, which is based on innovative human-computer interaction and specifically developed training sessions for people with dementia and their caregivers, aims to strengthen the self-care ability in terms of movement and mobilization. He worked in a health care company which is specialized on home and institutional care, being responsible for project management, quality management and developing innovations in the health care sector. His master thesis was an exploratory design study regarding to the potentials of ICT based assistance systems for mobilizing people with dementia.
