Felix Carros studied at the University of Siegen and graduated with a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and SME. In his final thesis he dealt with the exploration of health platforms in the context of an aging society. During his studies he worked for IBM. During this time he focused primarily on the insurance industry and the industry-specific start-ups, InsurTechs. Since 2018 he is employed at the Institute for Information Systems and New Media as a research assistant. There, his research interest lies in the application of social-interactive robotics. He is investigating how it can be used in the context of banking, religion and care and makes cross cultural comparisons between Japan and Europe. Furthermore, he accompanies other research projects in the field of robotics and advises on user integration in the development of robotic systems.
